Revenge of Calder Norse Seafaring Viking Axe

In Norse legend, the Aegir Battle Axe embodies the wrath of the sea god, its carbon steel blade etched with symbols of doom.

In Old Norse legend, Aegir, the god of the sea, was feared by the inhabitants of Midgard (the world of humanity). When towering waves threatened their ships, the Vikings believed Aegir was nearby. To appease him, they would sometimes sacrifice slaves aboard their vessels, yet often to no avail. Aegir's insatiable desire for gold and treasure left few ships unscathed. Tales tell of Viking ships meeting their demise at his hands, with undead warriors known as Draugr haunting the seas. These Draugr carried weapons akin to this battle axe, its carbon steel head etched with symbols of their watery fate.

The axe's blade, sharp and poised for vengeance, is forged from carbon steel. Its sturdy handle, crafted from durable Sheesham wood, features a lanyard hole at the base to prevent loss at sea. Engravings of the Valknut, symbolising the binding of the slain, adorn both sides of the handle and the axe head's central illustration.
